How an affiliate link works
When you click a marked link and start a paid plan, the app's maker may pay us a commission. You pay the regular price. Nothing about your subscription changes.
What a commission cannot buy
Scores, ranking positions and the pros and cons lists are settled before any business conversation starts. No company can pay for a higher slot, get a complaint deleted, or push a competitor off the list. Apps without an affiliate program go through the exact same test. Right now, two of the seven ranked apps pay us nothing at all.
How to recognize one
Every affiliate link is tagged sponsored in the page code and sits next to a notice that says so in plain words.
The two apps that pay nothing
They stay in the ranking because their scores earned them a place. Commissions cover hosting and the paid accounts we test with. They never buy a better number.
