Its best quality
Affection. The characters stay tender rather than explicit, and they do not drift from that. There is a difference between a companion you open for a minute here and there on your phone and one you sit down with at a computer, and Kupid is clearly designed for quick phone check-ins.

Setting up a character
You choose looks and personality, pick realistic or anime, or start from one of dozens of pre-made characters. It is faster than Camsoda's six steps, though less thorough. If you want to be talking in five minutes, it does the job.
The reason for sixth place
Premium is expensive relative to what it unlocks, and things I had mentioned a couple of weeks earlier were mostly gone. The romance is good. The price suggests a much bigger product.
Better on a phone
Most of my time with Kupid was on an iPhone: short conversations, a voice note, lock the screen. On a laptop it comes across as thinner than Nomi.
